Mark. The design is stamped onto plain cloth in washable ink.Hover the steps to follow the cloth from mark to untie.

Mark. The design is stamped onto plain cloth in washable ink.

Tie. At every mark, a pinch of cloth is wound tight with thread.

Dip in haldi. Into yellow dye. It can't reach under the knots, which stay cream.

Tie again. More knots go in, this time over yellow cloth.

Dip in lal. Then everything goes into red.

Untie. Every knot opens into a dot: cream from the first tying, yellow from the second.
